125 km, Flensburg-Neumünster
After buying the map of Germany and walking through Flensburg downtown, we started today's etappe (at noon - early start is just not working for us).
As soon as leaving the town, the bicycle roads became much, much better, some of them were the best parts we have seen so far: wide, perfect asphalt, combined with a bit of tailwind:-)
Today we cycled through Schleswig, Dannewerk, Kropp and Breiholz, from where we took a ferry through Nord-Ostsee-Kanal (which lasted 2 minutes).
Just seconds before we got to a railway crossing, the red lights came on, and we had to wait. And wait. Maybe five or ten minutes before the train, well, two trains passed. Then, seconds before the next railway crossing the red lights came on again. Coincidence?
Meanwhile our water bottles got empty, but we arrived to a shop just in time. Lucky us! We ate bakery goods and German strawberries there.
Around 90 km Orsi got quite tired, and the whole body was sore (soles, hand, butt, neck), meanwhile Isak had no problems at all!
We bought dinner (pizza slices) in a bakery in Neumünster, just before closing time. We are lucky!
At the camping we got help (bicycle adjustment and local cookies) from nice German tourists, then, buy the time we raised the tent, it became dark. We got to see the first stairy nights for a long time!
