Day 11

95 km, Kolding-Flensburg

Today we started very late, at noon, because Isak had bills to pay (the only accessable computers were at the hotel reception, so we had to wait for the guests to check out first).

First stop at 35 K, right next to a Mcdonald's, not willingly tough. Since we were already there, we ate late lunch on the grass just outside of the building. It was nice! :-)
We also had a nice strawberry break later on but otherwise we did not have longer breaks.

Whit nice tailwind, the kilometers passed by quite fast. Between 70 and 80 km, the bicycle path on the side of the road was of bad quality. Thus we rather cycled on the car road, looking backwards every 50 metres to avoid cars.
We cycled through nice cities in Denmark today, like Haderslev, Aabenraa (Aaaabenraaaa, as we pronounced it for fun) and Kruså. There is a wonderful bicycle roundabout (just for bikers, have never seen that before) in Haderslev, where we chatted with a Dane cycling from Schleswig. He was surprised that we are Swedish and Hungarian, but we live in Norway. ;-)

Basically no warning, and we were already in Flensburg, Germany. What a change, not really positive change, in bicycle roads compared to Denmark! Not that bad roads tough but if you are used to the Danish standard and mentality, you gotta have problems in Germany - at least for now..

We wanted to sleep in a camping tonight but the closest one to the city was fully booked and the next one would have been too far away ( we wouldn't make it there before nightfall).

Things that we realized today:
- We can feel our thigh muscles (lactic acid-like thingy) after a longer period of break
- Tailwind brings you wherever you want, without effort (today's journey felt really easy)
- It gets dark sooo quickly! Very hard to get used to it.
- We will need bicycle bells in Germany.
- Summer is really warm here in the south. :D
